STR turnover management software
HostMaid puts the check before check-in. Every turnover runs room by room, with required photos, quality control and certified cleaners ready to step in if a job is left unfinished. Nothing's marked complete until the process is finished.

The moment it goes wrong
The clean might have gone fine.
There might be hair behind the bathroom door. Fingerprints on the mirror. A coffee maker nobody wiped down, or a trash can still tucked under the sink.
You'll find out in twenty minutes, when your phone lights up.
By then it's a complaint. Then a reclean, a refund, or a negative review sitting on the listing.
You can refund a guest. You can't unpublish a negative review, and Airbnb's algorithm doesn't forget it either. A run of bad reviews drops you down the rankings, and that costs you bookings you never find out you lost.
HostMaid moves that moment forward. The checklist, the photos and the review all happen before check-in, while there's still time to do something about what was missed.
How HostMaid works
HostMaid does more than schedule a clean. It puts your standard into the job, checks the evidence, and keeps the turnover open until the work has made it through the process.
Build a checklist for each property, room by room.
The right number of towels. The owner's closet code. The coffee station. The kayaks that need to go back in the garage. Property quirks stop living in one person's head.
The app randomly chooses which checklist items need a photo, and it chooses at the time.
The cleaner takes the photo in the app as they work through the property. Nobody's uploading last week's kitchen.
If a cleaner leaves a property half done, HostMaid offers the remaining work straight away to your certified, company-approved cleaners, with the pay showing on screen. These are cleaners who have already proved they can hold your standard.
The system chases the work, not you.
Finishing the checklist doesn't close the job.
Someone reviews the work first. If something was missed, it goes back while there's still time to correct it.
Every clean is dated and documented.
When an owner, a client or a guest asks what happened, you've got a room-by-room record.
The checklist is complete. The required photos are there. The work has been checked. Anything that was missed has been dealt with.
Now the turnover's done.

Who HostMaid is for
HostMaid works for the people managing the property, the companies cleaning it, and the owners whose name sits on the listing.
Property managers
Put your standard on every turnover, whether in-house, an outside cleaning company, or both. Problems reach you while there's still time to send someone back, and when an owner asks what happened, you can show them, with a date on it.
Cleaning companies
A refund shouldn't come off your invoice because nobody can find the photos. HostMaid gives your team a process they can follow and a record you can stand behind, so quality holds as you add cleaners and consistent work earns you referrals.
Multi-property hosts & investors
You shouldn't have to drive over after every clean, or spend the afternoon wondering what kind of day your cleaner had. HostMaid runs your turnovers through the same room-by-room process used by an operation doing thousands of them a year.
We needed it first
We didn't set out to build software. We set out to clean short-term rentals properly, at volume.
Hundreds of turnovers a week teach you something fast. You don't grow by waiting for perfect cleaners. You grow by building a process people can follow, including on a bad day.
We tried the apps. They gave our cleaners lists, schedules and somewhere to send photos. We were still driving out to properties to look for ourselves.
So we built what we needed, and spent three years changing it every time something went wrong in a real house. A missed coffee station. Hair behind a bathroom door. A cleaner who left halfway through a job.
We still run our own cleaning and property management operations on it. Today, we handle hundreds of turnovers a week and thousands a year. When we need to grow, we can add as many as ten units in a week without throwing the management team back into chaos.

What changes with HostMaid
The spreadsheet knows when the clean was scheduled. The group text has some of the photos. The paper checklist says every box was ticked. Your phone is where the exceptions end up.
None of it tells you what happened in the property.

Frequently asked questions
They use it once they see how they get paid. Every job shows what it pays before a cleaner accepts it, and the app tracks what they've earned by week and by month. Pay is set against the property rather than the hour, so a cleaner who works through it properly earns more per hour than they did before.
The record protects them too. When a client says a clean wasn't done, the photos are already there, dated, and nobody's deducting a refund from work that was done right.
Yes. Photos get taken inside the app while they're at the property, not uploaded from a camera roll afterward.
It adds time on the first few properties while a cleaner learns the checklist, and a few minutes per turnover after that for the photos. We won't pretend otherwise. Our own cleaners said the same thing when we rolled it out.
What you get back is the drive time, the callbacks and the recleans.
HostMaid isn't there to catch cleaners out. Everyone misses things, including good people.
The checklist makes the standard clear before the job starts, the photos prove the work when it was done properly, and the review gives you a way to fix what was missed without a phone call.
Somebody has to go and look. Typically the quality controller drives to the property behind the cleaner, checks the work against the checklist, and handles the jobs a cleaner doesn't do: a light bulb, a filter, leaves on the back deck, something broken that needs reporting.
Once a cleaner has proved they hold the standard, you can mark them certified and their cleans stop needing the check.
Yes. Add their cleaners and quality controllers to your account as users, and they work to your checklists, your standard, on your properties.
Yes. Owners get their own access, so instead of forwarding photos when somebody asks, you point them at the property and they can see the record for themselves.
